1st December 2015 - Dust off the Christmas Decs

We put the Christmas tree up last night and started to sort out the decorations - all a bit old but they have lots of happy memories. Our mentoring group's new theme is Bokeh so I thought it was the perfect time to try out my new bokeh set and see if I could get the filters to work. I liked the snowflake shape. Our theme starts next week but I thought I need to get some practice in first!!

It's been a busy week ordering my new Macbook Pro - coming next week!! My sister has hurt her back and she is out of action which is so annoying - just as she was starting to feel much better after her radiotherapy treatment. I keep telling her to keep moving or she will stiffen up completely. Once again I am behind with my pics - life keeps taking over!!

Uploaded for my alternate album
I had a similar thought today ... I am unearthing the decs too - although I won't do anything with them just yet - I like to wait until nearer Christmas. But I do start preparing for it now! Lovely image Pam!

@taffy @888rachel @golftragic @newbank @jgpittenger Just practising with my new bokeh set. Not sure if it was worth the money as i can see I won't be using most of the shapes. I liked the snowflake.

@jamibann We are having a ladies only cocktail party on the 11th plus 13 coming for Christmas dinner (plus 3 dogs). I thought if I got the decs up now I could concentrate on the food and drink etc. I don't normally put them up this early.

Christmas has so many opportunities to play with bokeh - love this - like the subject and the lighting.

This is so lovely, and I like how the amount of bokeh is just right. I have bought a kit too, but it is coming from overseas. It's times like these when you realise how far away Australia is. I think it is due to arrive on the 13th!

I reckon you've got that bokeh just right Pam, you clever girl. We haven't put up any decorations yet, but we're going up to my daughter's place for a family gathering. Her place is about halfway between my son's town and Geelong so that seemed to be the go, about two and a half hour's drive for both travelling groups.

I really like your capture here Pam. I don't have a bokeh set, but did make one heart shape and used it recently. I'll have to try and make some more shapes, as the holiday season will provide so many opportunities. :)
