2017-03-29 - Waiting

Rosie @rosiekind and Sarah @pixiemac waiting on the bank of the brook for the kingfisher to make an appearance. Luckily we didn't have to wait too long!! The long lenses were out today!!

Uploaded for my alternate album
Hi, Rosie! Hi, Sarah! Great to see @rosiekind and @pixiemac at work! And with such loooooooooong lenses! Now I see what they use to get those fantastic kingfisher photos. Looking forward to seeing results! BTW, I'm on a campaign to start tagging such photos "365-photobuddies" so I hope you'll tag this one!

Very awesome! I'm so impressed with those cameras and lenses and tripods. Y'all are professionals for sure! Oh my!

My word lots of money invested there, I am impressed!

WOW! Great equipment for fantastic photos! You two ARE professionals! I am doing the best I can with my iPhone...but it is still fun too!

Lordy you have some big lenses. Makes my long one seem short.

Great shot and great lenses :)

@jyokota Done plus another one of the three of us taken in February at Sarah's house.

BIG lenses! Impressive

Nice to know where to go sit and wait - Can see why you need those tripods - those are some lenses! And you work them quite well!

blimey those are some serious lenses
March 29th, 2017
Lol!
March 30th, 2017
Crikey, they are very serious lenses. I lack this kind of patience.

That's a great capture!!

Love the relaxed appearance of these gals. . This sneaky search and wait definitely brought out the massive lenses. We want to see their photos.

Brilliant!

I love this! Behind the scenes shots are always the best. Sarah looks like she's 45 minutes into the sermon. Snipers on duty.

Brilliant. I guess there's a lot of hanging around for this type of photography. Very cool shot Pam.

@jyokota @louannwarren @happypat @gardenfolk @joansmor @seattlite @rookynook @lyndamcg @milaniet @pistache @jgpittenger @golftragic @pamdavis2015 @aglennc @gigiflower @stray_shooter @jamibann Thanks everyone!! I don't normally do mass responses but I just wanted you all to know I didn't have my tripod with me so my kingfisher shot is actually handheld. My lens is the Canon 100-400mm - my favourite lens!! I was unable to "get down" with the girls as I would never be able to get up again so I was loitering back at the tree line trying to be inconspicuous!! I suspect it was the sight of me which spooked the lovely bird!! LOL!!
March 30th, 2017
Oh my, they are long lenses.
March 30th, 2017
Great candid shot.

This shot captures thoughts way beyond the image. Great.

@pamknowler LOL, I can identify only too well with your troubles about getting up and down off ground level. I go to a physio-supervised exercise class every Friday, part of which requires me to lie down on a mat. What an ungainly performance that produces, all the elegance of a beached whale.

Awesome collection of lenses!
