Such a surprise this morning to see this Comma butterfly on the path ahead of us. It was just fluttering it's wings but not trying to fly away even when I went very close with my iPhone. We picked it up on this stick and put it into the bushes at the side of the path as I didn't want it to get trodden on. After many attempts I got this shot with his wings open. He looks a bit bedraggled - I just hope he will be able to hibernate through the winter in the fallen leaves.
