Todays best shot of the hoverfly. Still not pin sharp. I will keep trying. Its funny the hoverfly keeps coming right in front of me as if he is posing and then just as I take it he shoots up or down!! For my Extras album.
Another great try....I've read somewhere that if you catch one and cool it down a little by putting in the fridge for a while, it slows them down and makes them easier to photograph. Not sure if that's true, not sure if that's fair to the creature either..
@kevinmckay Thanks Kevin!! I am sure its the same hoverfly laughing at me!! Yes I have heard about the fridge treatment but not sure I would want to do that - seems like cheating!!
@kjarn Thanks Kathy!! The weather has changed since this shot and it has been much colder and very windy. No sign of my hoverfly. I am sure he will return if only to taunt me!! LOL!!
@darrenboyj Many thanks Darren!! Its been too cold and windy since that day and the rest of the weeks weather looks dire!! Hopefully we will get some warm weather soon - then the hoverflies will return!!
