9th August 2013 Lookout

A Goldfinch keeping watch while his family feeds. Sadly Finlay spotted them from the lounge and came racing out into the garden all guns blazing!! What a pain he is - my bird photography has definitely suffered since I had him!!

Uploaded to fill gaps in my Extras folder
Great photo amazing details. Yeah I agree cats are a pain with garden birds.

What fabulous focus. Colours are beautiful as well. Fav
One of my dogs is a bird chaser, but the birds have no worries as he is a pretty useless bird chaser!!!

Lovely shot, beautiful bird with wonderful detail. All this in spite of naughty Finlay.

@sansjuan Nita you should see him this morning - there are about 8 starlings in the birdbath and Finlay keeps dashing in to me as I sit here on the computer jumping at me and telling me to let him at them!! I really must take him for his morning walk as I am late - looking at 365 of course!! Have a good day/night!!

I like how his little foot is wrapped around the end of the feeder.

Wonderful clarity and great detail of feather pattern and texture - Are you able to let the intrepid Finlay out to bark his worst until he gets tired of it or they are so used to him they can ignore him? My blind little girl, Linda. barks and bounces frantically whenever she goes out - we think it is "just in case" there is something around that is worth a bark but after a while the birds have just started to ignore her!

@kittikat Finlay never seems to tire of barking at birds and leaping in hope as a pigeon flies past!! The birds tend to visit when he is not in the garden but he only has to spot one and he is out there telling them it's his garden and they are off. I think the birds know Finlay would have them if he just got the chance!!
