The owners of Kilham Hall gave us a lovely welcome and made a fuss of Finlay. They had a dalmation and were obviously dog people. There were two huge paddocks and they said it was fine to let Finlay off the lead but just to warn me there were two rams in the paddock. As Finlay had never met a sheep before I thought i would keep him on the lead to see what happened.
They told me the rams would soon sort out any aggresive dogs!! As soon as Finlay saw the rams - in the mist - he sat down and refused to move. The rams however seemed quite interested in us and started to walk towards us. With that Finlay was up and started prancing about trying to look brave - he didn't bark and I was pleased about that. Suddenly the biggest ram started to run towards us and I decided to beat a hasty retreat!! I am a city girl and not used to farm animals!! I can hear you all laughing!!
Cute shot, and I'm not laughing. I, also, am a city girl, and a large ram is not my idea of a friendly animal, especially when it's running towards me.
A wonderful shot of Finlay. Love the picture I see in my mind of you and Finlay high tailing it away from the ram. I think even smart farm girls would do that too!
