28th March 2014 - Name that plant in ....?

This is the whole plant of the flower I put up earlier. Does this help with identification?

Uploaded to my extras album
Don't know what it is, but I like the colour of the flower. I like the faint reflection in the background.

I thought Amaryllis, Lily family, so I put that in Google images and scrolled down and found a Clivia Blume which looks a good match for it. Looks glorious whatever it is.

It is indeed a clivia. Not sure exactly which one though. They are very happy growing in pots, and even happier if there's 2 or 3 of them

Nice plant, it is a clivia, we grow them outside in New Zealand, as long as it is frost free.

Looks like fresias. I love them, but hubby hates the fragrance. The photos are lovely.

Clivia's are lovely plant and we do grow them outside here in the Nth Is of NZ..Do very well under tree's and seem to be surviving well with the draught at present..

Nope. Looks like a lily leaf and a crocus flower...and that's silly.

@julzmaioro Thank you! I've never heard of clivias, but just looked them up. These might satisfy my love of the fresia shape and be acceptable, fragrance-wise for DH. Will be checking our local nurseries.

This is a cheerful image. It looks like you are doing a "study of..." theme series here!
