Sitting in the bird hide yesterday was wonderful. A squirrel on the food, rabbits down in the grass and the air was alive with gorgeous birds feeding. Finally a couple of birds came onto the log which makes such a better shot than on the bird table.
@taffy No my bird shots are all hand held with my 100-400mm lens. I find it's a bit much for me to lug the tripod plus the camera (the Canon 5D 11 is quite heavy and my big boy lens. Plus holding Finlay with my other hand!! He sits very quietly at my feet in the hide. Luckily he couldn't see the squirrel and the rabbits!! LOL!!
