Not sure at all if this is high contrast - I liked the B&W conversion.

Very cool image, Pam. Definitely high contrast, which to me works well here to (a) set off the umbrella from the background and (b) bring out the dark lines in the umbrella.

OK, now I'm getting the difference between high and low contrast. This is really striking because of the colour difference, and the intensity of the black. Very nice!
