So excited as my new Kichenaid mixer arrived today!! When I made the meringues last week I realised that my little hand mixer was getting old - in fact it was a wedding present in 1975!! I decided that I deserved a new mixer and as I had fallen in love with Louise's @weezilou Kitchenaid I decided that I just had to have one!! LOL!!
As you can see I had to try it out to see if it worked so another batch of meringues - plain, coffee and peppermint. I also made my first cookies. They do not look like Louise's cookies but fingers crossed they taste ok!! I love my new mixer!!
@cutekitty Yes the storage jars are Portmerrion. The chocolate in the cookies was very dark and bitter. Next time I will try it with white chocolate I think.
@taffy I think the cookies need a bit more practice and maybe trying some different things to add to the mixture. The dark chocolate was too bitter for me so maybe white chocolate with the macadamia nuts. I think I over mixed the mixture. You know what they say practice makes perfect!! Shame you are not nearby I could try them out on you!! LOL!!
