2016 11 15 - ID please

We were walking through the bog area on the Cabot Trail and I could hear this bird singing. Suddenly he flew straight at me and posed for me on this branch. Any idea what he is? Not a bird I have seen in the UK.

Uploaded for my extras album
No idea but it's a great shot.

Could be a White-lored gnatcatcher - from my googling choice! Will see what others say. I'm always interested. Great catch!

Darling bird, but I'm not familiar with it. Excellent shot, good enough to be in a bird book!

Wonderful composition and I do like how the bird is perched on the tip of the branch.

It looks like a blue jay but I'm not sure Fav for this lovely capture

@rosiekind Thanks Rosie but I know this is not a blue jay. It was grey black and white - no blue at all. Having had loads of blue jays in Louise's garden I know what they look like and they are much more flashy than this little bird. I have a photo of a blue jay in my project if you are interested.
