2017 02 06 - Lichen

I am having fun using my fisheye lens in ways I am not sure it's intended for. This is a close up of the bark of a tree covered in lichen. I loved all the different patterns. The lens make the tree bulge which is fun!! I was standing really close to the tree itself to get this shot. I tried to convert this to B&W but it really did not work and was just shades of grey.

Once again best on black!!

Very effective -- I like the tones and the way you've created an almost-abstract with the lens.

I can envision a tree with all those beautiful markings, being stripped of a layer of bark and framing it! Might not to much for the tree, but the hanging would be beautiful!
