I just had to share this shot taken of George this morning. Following the tree surgeons visit this week and the continual heavy rain our lawn has disappeared and is a quagmire. George loves to bury his face in the mud playing with little stones and twigs. Yes a bath is definitely on the cards today!! That's a leaf on his nose by the way!!
We are desperate to know what to do about the "lawn" as there is hardly any grass left. It's too late I think to get new turf laid but the thought of another winter of muddy dogs running indoors is getting me down!! I put grass seed down all through the summer and it looked like it had taken but in the last week all the new growth has died. The trouble is the boys love to go up on the top level in the garden to do their business. They never go on the patio. Any ideas? Barb says get rid of the dogs!! I think she is joking!!
Well, could you ask your garden center for some ideas? Here people plant winter Rye and itβs green and thick all winter. This is an adorable photo of George. .
It might need regrading. Or an underground drain field installed. Or installing some water loving plants to drink up the water? Wish you luck!
Poor George he just wants to do what comes natural to him.
