This building in front of the Pont des Arts is one of my favorite in Paris. It's grouping the 5 Acamedies ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Institut_de_France). One of them is the French Academie, created by Richelieu in the XVIIeme century. It's the Academy of French. Its members are famous writers, the French President M. Giscard d'Estaing and many other talented people. Part of the building is open once a year to public. Few years ago I visited it because one of my friend's uncle is a member. He showed us all the parts where nobody's never allowed. This place is "knowledge" I don't know how to explain it. I was as excited as a child in Disneyland, it was marveloous to be there and "meet" all the famous (and some favorite) authors. I didn't take any picture because I rather concentrated on what he said... I regret - not to have listen to him but not to have photo.
Living between Paris and the countryside, love taking pictures, a lot of pictures...
