Hortillonnages by parisouailleurs

Hortillonnages

The hortillonnages of Amiens - a city north of France- are an area of 300 hectares of former marshes developed (in the Middle Ages, probably from the twelfth century) to create fields that can be used for market gardening.
we visited part of it on a boat and another one by walk.
