Oh wow, awesome! Do you know if their heads are elsewhere? And yes, Paris is amazing, swap?! Drove to in Saint-Germain for a week once with work, fell in love :-)

@blightygal i must confess that i didn't read the story because i'm not really interested in it. I go to a lot museums and exhibitions for free and because i'm curious even if it's not a subject that i really care about.
But in the same room there are many heads. I didn't read the explanation. I was just focusing on the beauty of the place and the light and my pictures. Now it looks stupid!

@blightygal i had a vague souvenir of history class. During French revolution statues from churches were decapitated.
I was right. Those are from Notre-Dame

@parisouailleurs That's brilliant, thankyou. I can't believe found in someones courtyard and not really that long ago, amusing. Off with their heads eh, even the royal statues! Such amazing history :-)
