Prayers for Alessia & Livia #2

It's been a tough and awfull week for the mother of the two girls of course but also for all the family and friends. We went from hope to resignation. As long as Alissia & Livia wouldn't be found, we keep a hope but unfortunatly the worst has to be considered.

Thank you to all of you here on 365 for your support. I went on my lunch break pray for them in Notre Dame.

Last update from friday 11th:

It made the radio news here but they weren't sounding optimistic. Terrible, dreadful thing to have happened - keep some hope burning.

It's so sad there seems to be so little to go on in this case, what a mystery and so sad for the mom. I can't imagine loosing my twins in such a horrible way.

It seems there is not much hope. I will pray too.

The press here is very pessimistic too. It is such a terribly sad situation.I can only offer heartfelt prayers too.

Thank you for keeping us posted Helene - as Judith says it's in the news here and getting quite a bit of publicity - hoping still against deepening odds.

How terribly tragic. If indeed he did take the girls lives, I will never understand. Why can't people in these situations hand the children over. Those poor babies.

Oh.. So sad. What beautiful little girls. So sorry for their family.

There are not words for how awful, tragic, and sad this is. Nothing can make it make sense! God be with their mother. Her grief will be long. May she survive it, and have the peace of knowing her girls are not suffering. She will be in my thoughts, heart, and prayers.

Helene, I've been following them on the news and it's heartbreaking they seem to have given up hope for various reasons. It makes me sad and tear up. I really really hope they are wrong. :( Please stay strong!

I so hoped that the girls had been found (safe) and reunited with their mother. My heart goes out to you and the family of the girls. Thank you for the update, I just wish it were good news.

Thank you very much for your sweet words, support and prayers.
I know the story is all over the world now, not only France, Italy and Switzerland. The media are so huge, they help a lot, still looking for witnesses. The family doesn't give up and the mother is fighting with her memory to remember the vacations they spent in Corsica and give informations to the Police.
If you want to support you can go on the facebook, http://www.facebook.com/pages/Missing-Alessia-Livia/169083213138407. The page has already more then 13700 fans and the family is very touched by all the messages they recieve.
The purpose is not to talk about myself but I feel like I need to clarify that even if I'm very sad and concerned and can't help thinking about them for a week, I met Irina the mother may be twice. However her brother, the uncle of the girls who talked a lot to the media last week,Valerio is a friend. His wife is a good friend and her sister one of my best friend.
I just want to make sure that none of think that I'm "in" the story. I'm beside them nothing much. Sometime I worry that I can't say exactly what I want in English, sorry...
Thank you again, you're all amazing!

@parisouailleurs it is heartbreaking...

So tragic!! A similar thing happened to a co-worker of mine a number of years ago. They had a joint custody arrangement. He took her two sons for a weekend and all three bodies were found a week later 500 miles away. Though it's hard to imagine the horror, as a mother I know how hard it must be - and to not know. She is in my prayers.

@pfmandeville Thank you very much Pamela
A co-worker had a similar story. Her son-in-law killed his 2 children, his own mother and then commited suicide... can you believe such a craziness?

Helene, I really hope no one thought that you were talking about this to talk about yourself. It is so obvious you are trying to help. I really admire the family for keeping up the strength to run the Facebook site and to actively help in the finding of the girls (I've stopped posting German articles, they are just too depressing and won't do anyone any good), and for being there for the mother and being there so thoroughly.

this is just so profoundly deeply sad and disturbing. it is unimaginable that a father could be so sad/angry/spiteful. . .perhaps there is still a chance for a positive outcome. . i am hoping against hope there is.
February 12th, 2011
@parisouailleurs You said it just perfectly!
February 13th, 2011
no words ... my heart aches for everyone ...

What a heartbreaking story. I just don't understand things like this. Your shot is beautiful and powerful, and Notre Dame is such a spiritually moving place. I took a shot somewhat similar to this when I visited a few years ago.
February 13th, 2011
Helene, I just read the latest update that you posted above and I am so very very sorry to see it. Thinking of you and sending love to Alessia and Livia's poor mother.
