@shantwin I would guess he is just pulling it out.. Helen would he be hired to keep the chairs in good condition hence also painting of them in his job
@shantwin@bruni Hope the translation is Ok iit's from google : he used chairs to prop up the easel and painting. If you look at the picture in big (you know on the top of it you can do it) you'll understand better than I can explain! thank you ladies for your interests and comments! sorry not been able to explain :-(
