For the 30th time, June 21th is the Fete de la musique! Everywhere in France, people are enjoying the longest day of the year playing or listening to free music. Every styles, every ages, every tastes. What ever you like you can find something great you like.
Place des Vosges this little boy was probably one of the youngest. But there were also chorals, teenagers playing rock, concert in Notre Dame, fun bands, jazz, traditional songs and dances at the Swedish Institute, awesome singer place Furstenberg (full of silent people), drumps, etc, etc. It's just a little bit cacophonic because people are close from each other but it's really fun, & emotional.
I ended up with my husband listening to a Rockabilly group for 2 hours, they were fabulous!
Living between Paris and the countryside, love taking pictures, a lot of pictures...
Publish different ones from this project on my blog.

Hello, Helene! Oh, this is a wonderful b&w shot! What a wonderful festival, too. Would love to have heard the rockabilly band! BTW - Deb's band played in Reno, Nevada recently and I shot this video of one of their tunes. Such fun music! http://youtu.be/vpOIqLTLhgw
This is lovely! It was lovely being home for the FDLM this year, but there were too many DJs (if Too Many DJs had actually been here, that'd have been cool though ;)) and not enough live bands. We saw a couple of little kids playing too, SO cute!
cello playing makes such beautiful music.
