Living between Paris and the countryside, love taking pictures, a lot of pictures...
Publish different ones from this project on my blog.

@ladybug71012 During the winter, the hair grows so when the horse works it sweats a lot and can be cold. So it's better to do a hair cut and then to but blanckets on it. Sorry my English isn't very good but I hope you understand the "idea"!
@parisouailleurs Now I understand why I see them with blankets. If you don't cut the hair, does it grow very long? (I understand you perfectly, thank you for taking the time to explain)
Your English is great, Helene. Your horses live a very different life than 90% of the horses where I live. The ones here need all that winter hair, because they live outside. But, then again, most are not show horses and during the winter, their rides are probably more moderate, unlike the rigorous training workouts these guys get in an arena.
@ladybug71012 Not very long but i guess k-like a winter coat... or may be like any outside animals. Linda is right it depends if the horses are going outside or not. This horse is going outside for work during the day. The 2 horses we ride, are rustic from south of France's mountains, they can support cold easely. They're stay outside all the nights. I try to photograph their "long" hair...
