This is a stretch of the Birmingham Fazeley canal in Birmingham's Jewellery Quarter. It looks so peaceful now but I would have liked to have seen it in Victorian times when it was a hive of activity bringing materials to the many factories in the area.
Great shot of one of our canals in the gloomy weather. I agree though, the canals made our city a world leader for a while. Now they are doing a great job in a very different way.
Agree, often wonder what the Victorians would say to us now........
