Unexpected bonus

It has been quite windy here over the last couple of days and on my walk I came across a large branch of a crab apple tree that had snapped and was hanging down onto the path.
I wouldn't normally have got a shot of the apples as they would have been too high for me to see so I was very pleased with my find.
I passed the tree again today and all of the fruit had vanished. I imagine they are in a pot in someone's kitchen being turned into crab apple jelly.
They look delicious. Good to hear they have been recycled.

@romainz It's lovely, like clear tart jam. You can have it on sweet things and it's also nice as a relish with meat, usually lamb.
