Pondering

I took a walk to the cemetery yesterday to visit the war graves and memorials.
I stood at the top of the hill looking down at my favourite big old tree and thought of the poor souls who never got to see another season change.
It was a flat colourless day but it felt appropriate somehow.
The cemetery has been closed during lockdown and now opens at weekends and for a couple of hours each day so I missed the leaves turning golden on this tree but I think it still looks majestic in its bare branch stage.
wow - what a tree !

So sad. The tree also reflects a sad image. Well done. The cemetry is so neat and clean. Wish you could see what the cemetry look like where my husbands grave is. Only 4 years after he was buried in 2016. This is the cemetry for our town. I hired a private person to clean at his grave. It is heart breaking.

It does look quite sad, what an amazing tree. I bet it looks much brighter in summer.
