Medieval feet by pattyblue

Medieval feet

We visited Brecon cathedral and saw these effigies of a lord and lady. Their faces were quite worn away over time but their feet were perfectly preserved.
I really liked the swirls of their stonework robes.
Definitely not something you see everyday - cool shot

I recognise those feet! Live near Brecon and have admired them when visiting the cathedral. Lovely shot.

I've taken quite a few photos of effigies, but never from this pov. What a great idea - fav!

LOL-lovely capture

I suppose their feet would look less worn as they don't look as though they have been walking around for a while.

Love the textures and pov in your shot and the details in the effigies, like those folds you included in the photograph. I also like the lighting and textures on the far wall.

The swirls on the robe of the one on the right look like serpents. Like the angle of your shot.
