Holdout house

Well what a great day we had in Birmingham today.
My sister had a book for Xmas called 111 Things in Birmingham That You Shouldn’t Miss so we set out around the city like a couple of tourists looking for some of these things.
We were amazed to “see” things that we had previously walked past many times and ignored, what a revelation!
I must have walked past this holdout house a hundred times and only today did I really see it. To be fair though I haven’t been on the opposite side of the road before..

A super shot of this attractive old building sandwiched between two much larger buildings - fav! Books like the 111 Things in Birmingham That You Shouldn’t Miss are a great way of discovering places hidden in plain sight!
