Stature of a Leyland Motors worker leaving the factory erected in 2011,
Got home to view the image only to discover some joker had placed a glove on his right hand, moral of the story check the subject not just the camera settings,
The idea for this statue was taken from a 1920s photograph that captures Leyland Motors workers leaving via the former North Works Main Gate, now the site of Leyland Market in Lancashire UK.
Haha! You would never suspect that! I wonder if it was a lost glove and the person who found it, placed it there for easy find! Still a great capture, Peter!
What a great shot, I think the gloved hand makes it more interesting. He looks as though he is on a mission, perhaps looking for his other glove, ha ha.
Interesting story.
@stray_shooter Thanks Ron, I understand in their day they changed into working cloths in the factory, when I started work suit and tie were mandatory in the office, then about 10 years ago we had dress down Friday's could wear casual cloths, when I finished work it was only senior management had to be "suited & booted" as we called it, If working out on a project site dress code was more relaxed, (stiff ass Brits lol:)
Interesting story.
