Poppy seed pod in my garden loved the patterns and textures,
Used a grey piece of board as background to make it stand out, looks better against the black screen.
used a tripod and 6 second exposure to get the detail,

Nice capture Peter.You would have more of the flower in focus if you used a smaller aperture. On a shot like this i would use at least f/16 but preferably f/22 and a shutter speed to suit the setting as you are using a tripod.This would bring the top & bottom of the seed pod into focus.
@peterlgrave Many thanks for the advise Peter I will certainly give it a go, problem was it was in the garden and I had to hold the stem still for 6 seconds whilst taking the shot with my camera on a tripod and using a remote release:)
