I was at Scarborough General Hospital visiting my sister-in-law, she was out walking 10 days ago and slipped on a stone step and shattered her ankle, foot and lower leg, she is still in hospital and will remain for at least two weeks as this carbon fibre and steel pin arrangement is not load bearing she will stay on until the bone start to knit together.
@peterlgrave Thanks Peter she says it does not hurt now and lifted her leg using the contraption bolted on to show it was fine, although it will be a few weeks before she can put any weight on it:)
Her leg may not feel too uncomfortable just now but it will when the time comes to put any weight upon it.. i wish her well very soon..

@jorlam Thank you for your wonderful comments Jorlam, Catherine only slipped down one stone step twisting her foot on impact and hit a stone wall on the way down ended up wedged between the stone wall and stone steps, it took 5 coastguards and 2 paramedics to get her out and onto the waiting ambulance:)
A very graphic reminder of how easily and quickly accidents can occur. I send her all good wishes for the speediest of recoveries. Great clarity in your shot.
@quietpurplehaze Thank you so much Hazel, she is not in pain just fed up of being in hospital she now has your dad for company along with other light reading will let you know what she thinks of the diary:)
