Floral Zoom Burst by pcoulson

Floral Zoom Burst

My entry in the current technique challenge "zoom burst" , using the technique of zooming in or out whilst taking the shot on a slow shutter speed. whilst still retaining focus/detail in the centre of the image. BoB
Great focus on the center flower. I'd say you nailed it.

@louannwarren Thanks Lou Ann its quite a simple technique, should be no problem using your Nikon D3100 with a stock zoom lens, set your camera shutter speed say around 1/4 sec, focus on the centre of your subject, then start to rotate the zoom ring on your lens and press the button, I found it better with my camera on a tripod, its that simple, just have a play, I got lots of outtakes to start with, you soon get the hang of it, good Luck:)

@stray_shooter Thank you for your great comments Ron, as I said to Lou Ann its quite a simple technique, once you get the timing of the zoom and shutter right you can get some pleasing results:)
