Wild British Red Squirrel taken in woodlands surrounding Formby in Merseyside,
(taken for Ron @stray_shooter plus Louise & Ken @weezilou Seagull to follow, lol)
@rosiekind Thanks Rosie we went especially to Formby woods to get a photograph its the only place I know you will see still see them, as a boy growing up on a farm in Lincolnshire we had red squirrels in our wood suspect they are all grey now:)
@louannwarren Thank you Lou Ann they are much smaller than your squirrels and also this one is still wearing his darker winter coat, they have more red fur in the summer:)
@taffy Thank you for both your lovely comment and fav Taffy, I had my 200mm lens fitted fortunately this little fellow although not close just sat there and let me compose this shot:)
@quietpurplehaze Thank you very much Hazel they are much smaller the the grey squirrels, for me Formby woods is the nearest place to see them but they can be found in the Yorkshire Dales, Cumbria, Northumbria and Scotland:)

Peter, thank you. There are some here on Brownsea Island at Poole. I hate small boats but I think I may have to take myself in hand myself one day!
