Brushfields Yellow Japonica

The Camellias in our garden are just starting to bloom
This is a gorgeous photo! I must know this flower by a different name as it looks so familiar!

@Weezilou Thank you for finding the time to comment and add as a Fav, its appreciated, btw Louise 'Brushfield's Yellow' is an upright evergreen shrub with dark, glossy foliage and creamy-white, anemone-form double flowers, you could well call it something else in your neck of the woods:)

@julzmaioro Thank you so much for your interesting comment Julia, it has anemone-form double flowers which supposedly shade to light yellow in the centre as you can see ours are a shade of cream:)

Great shot, Peter. I was surprised to see that your lighting was natural sunlight, as I thought it was flash fill. It makes me miss the camellia that I had on the side of my house. It always bloomed so nicely....until one day it just up and died. Many of my plants suffer similar fates.

@stray_shooter Thank you for your interesting comment Ron, we have had frost at night and unusually for February warm sunny days, we had to cut down a very large red Camellia for construction of our conservatory, this is one of our replacement bushes:)
