There has been a pier or jetty in Cromer since 1391.
The 500 foot iron pier,replaced the second jetty. It opened on 8 June 1901, having cost £17,000.
lifeboats have been stationed here since 1923
@onewing Thanks Babs for your comment, the stone where put there in large heels along the wall to help retain the sand, the wet area is just smooth sand perfect for children:)
