Parasol Mushroom by pcoulson

Parasol Mushroom

Found on my walk today, excellent, fried, dried, sauteed, in stews, should be cooked before consumption though, I just walked on after the shot and didn't bothered lifting it.
It is a perfect little parasol, isn't it? I'm impressed that you know your mushrooms, Peter! That's a good skill to have.

No idea could eat them! Seen really tall ones in our local woods ( but think I will stick to ones in shops!)

Beautifully captured with wonderful details, I too would rather get them from the store ;-)

It is gorgeous. Best to leave it for the fairies to live in rather than risk eating it, just in case

@365projectorgheatherb Thank you Heather for your comment, I was raised in rural Lincolnshire our granddad collected wild mushrooms regularly he would take my brother and I out into the countryside and not only show us what we could pick but also explain the wonders of nature and wildlife he was very knowledgeable:)
