Notice the aircraft being assembled in a tempory structure alongside Lake Windermere a heavily cropped image at the top, a replica of the first aircraft to fly off water in the UK, the original Waterbird was built in 1911by A V Roe co Ltd and flew 25th November 1911,
An event to show the replica flying of water was planed for 11th and 12th May between 7:00 and 8:30pm each evening.
bottom image is of its first test run unfortunatly a problem occured and fly test were abandend.
Brilliant! I should be able to see into the hangar tomorrow as I'm at the Jetty. Might take bigger camera to work! And will try for Brockhole in the evening - but I have a project to complete by Saturday :-( [and am out all Saturday so won't see it when it visits the Science Festival]
@anniesue Thank you for your interesting comment Annie-Sue, saw the aircraft coming back from Ambleside, I knew what the aircraft was from the news of its first attempt to fly in June last year, a quick internet check got the info with half on hour to spare got there died on 7:00pm lots there ready, I will be there this evening weather permitting:)
