Pear Drops by pcoulson

Pear Drops

My entry in this weeks Capture 52 challenge "Sweet" give us something sweet, these are what is known as hard boiled sweets in the UK.
The origins of Pear Drops can be traced back to the early 19th century in England. They were invented by a man named Edward Sharp, who was a confectioner in the city of York.
They look delicious, fabulous shot.

Lovely depth of field, and getting the facets of the glass and the sweets so sharp can't have been easy

Brought back memories. My Nanna used to love pear drops and always had a bag of them in her pocket when she visited us. We used to sell them in our shop, so she didn't have to buy them. ha ha.
