Hiked in to see the V-Bar-V Heritage Site, the largest known petroglyph site in the Verde Valley. This art was created by the Southern Sinagua indians between about 1150 and 1400 AD. About 20% of the petroglyphs are zoomorphs, including snakes, turtles, coyotes, deer, antelope and even a couple of aliens - I wonder what kind of mushrooms they ate here :)
