Yellowstone Elk by pdulis

Yellowstone Elk

Elk are most active early In the morning and late In the afternoon. Because grass is high on their menu, they commonly feed in large meadows. Here we found them in Madison valley early morning.Elk are famous for their mating calls, referred to as bugling. Each mature bull gathers as many females (cows) as possible prior to the breeding season, and guards his harem from other bulls. Competition for females is fierce - sounds a little like the big city of Toronto :)

@stevepam P.S Peter do you use Raw very much or Jpeg just interested,I processed a few Raw today for the first time, and I think nature and Portrait photos would be well suited to Raw what do you think?
October 30th, 2015
@stevepam - hi - I shoot in both raw + jpg - The raw file give you much more data to work with in fine tuning any kind of image. The jpg I use for HDR rendering - hope this helps

Envy continues of what you are capturing on this trip. Another fav. Great processing as this looks timeless.

@pdulis Thank you very much Peter I can understand Raw being better for fine tuning,I have not done HDR yet even though my OMD-EM1 has it built in,I must try:)
