Hoodoo: the rock ... by pdulis

Hoodoo: the rock ...

So why are they called hoodoos? Look it up on line and you get all kinds of wacky answers. I have heard it told, according to the park rangers at Bryce canyon, that the Paiute Indians, who inhabited that area for hundreds of years, believed that these hoodoos are "Ancient Peoples" who were turned to stone as punishment for bad deeds - Believe it or Not !
Another gorgeous shot fav

Is the light pinkish - or the rock. Either way this is fabulous

I have no trouble seeing these as people turned to stone. There is a group of gossipers in the bottom right corner, and a load of others plotting and arguing and complaining. Such an amazingly rich landscape you are in.
