In Quebec the first log cabins were erected in the 17th century by newly-arrived settlers from Europe and were often just small, simple, rustic square cabins. Most of these cabins are found in secluded regions of Quebec and make for great photographic subjects.

My great great grandmother and her family came over from Europe and settled in in Manitoba. I have a picture of them in front of their cabin, which looks similar. I love your photo here of a settlers cabin. Fav.
It never ceases to amaze me how effortless you make photography look. The constant high quality of your images is inspiring- do you ever take a dud? Another stunning shot.
