The other one was calling and pretending to have a broken wing but I didn't like how close to the highway it was getting, so I left before borb stumbled into traffic. This is the popular classic with the grimdark name-- Killdeer.
Gorgeous lighting and excellent detail on this bird! It looks like our Killdeer which also will feign a broken wing to draw attention away from their young.!
