Three years ago I was diagnosed with RA, an autoimmune disease that attacks healthy joints and tissue. Generally I don't like calling attention to the deformities and limitations caused by this insidious disease. However, Look - Don't Touch is pretty much the name of the game in my new life with RA. So, this is my crazy crooked right hand with the kinked up pinky and the non-apposable super-sized thumb. Took this photo one handed with my left hand which was tricky. It was a little out of focus so I jazzed it up a bit. I think it's rather artistic in a gnarly kind of way.
