Tom and I set up the telescope and spent a chilly evening hoping to catch a glimpse of the the tail end of the Leonid meteor shower last night. No luck...too much city light. We did see an amazing full moon (top left and right) and Mars (bottom left). The Mars shot and right moon shot were taken through the telescope lens...I kept bumping it with my camera lens and knocking it out of focus so they aren't very good. But, it gives an idea of what we were able to see. I have a camera attachment for the telescope that I haven't figured out how to use yet. I'll get around to it one day. :)
Thats so cool, shame you didnt catch the shower but the shots you got were fantastic,I laughed when you said bumping the camera against the telescope that so sounds like me x
Aww, I'm so jealous!! I've always wanted a telescope. This collage is fabulous. I was able to use one in University many years ago and saw the rings of Saturn--I've been hooked ever since.
Great photos...a neighbor has a super duper telescope like this and the first time I looked through it was so awesome...It left quite an impression...I felt out of this world...!
At least you got something. We were supposed to have it a couple nights ago so I set my alarm to get up early and see it but it was so cloudy we saw nothing.
