well, apparently there's more poetry than fact to that statement. Robins are pretty much year round residents of their preferred habitats...I googled it. But, it's been a long, cold winter and I like being hopeful ~ so I'm hanging with the myth. :) This guy was one dozens in a flock all over this yard. But, he was the only one kind enough to stick around long enough for me to get my camera settings halfway right.
Well thankfully he was one of dozens. Here we say one swallow doesn't make a summer , so I get really excited when I see lots ! He seems to be contemplating you too :-)
Beautiful shot, Peggy. Love that red breast so brilliantly displayed here, and he looks great against the texture of that brick. (My mother named me after this bird; even though our robins are different they still have a red breast.)
Gorgeous shot Peggy....geez is that green grass I see too?? Our Robins won't be back until probably mid to late March and though they signal Spring is just around the corner it inevitably snows soon after they arrive!
@clarissajohal Thanks, Clarissa! It's funny ~ my daughter said the same thing the other day. I know that any improvement is the result of this Project site and the inspiration and encouragement I get from the amazing work of others. Thanks again!
You are getting some amazing photos with that new toy of yours Peggy. The detail in this is amazing. You can see every single feather! In Minnesota, Robins truly are a sign of spring. They are smart enough to not stick around for our cold winters!!
Thanks for the great comments, all! Glad this little guy waited around long enough for me to capture. :)
Thank you, Bill and Constance!
Thanks for the fav, Pamela!
The focus is spot on!
