Crossing Arm... by peggysirk

Crossing Arm...

or guillotine? Just a random shot to fill a gap.

I was babysitting my tiny granddaughter yesterday while her mommy did a substitute teaching assignment. I took my camera thinking it would be a great photo op day for Grammy. I think that I need time to get back in the hang of taking care of a baby on my own before I can add photography to the mix. Harper and I had a delightful time...there just never seemed to be a moment when I could get the camera out to play. :)
love tihs shot

Haha, looks like it's chopped off their heads!

that is quite the shot
poor people with no heads.

Haha - thanks for the laugh!

I love how photography gives one a completely different perspective than one would have without a camera. This is great!

LOL, you make me laugh Peggy! If anything, the experience gave you a wonderful story to tell!

Aww, I'll bet that was fun, babies are the best. This is cool--it looks very artistic with the cut lines and colour pop

great pop of color. yeah, taking care of a baby usually doesn't allow time for much else.

This is great. Babies are a lot of work, but such fun.

Funny shot. When we had the first grandchild, my mom said the exact same thing you did about remembering how much work they involve. But, probably like you, they never turned down babysitting if they didn't have to. :)

So funny. Glad you and Harper had a great day. I leave Wednesday for Colorado to see James and Annie. James will be 8 on Thursday. Can't wait!

Those little ones keep you busy. Just wait until she starts toddling around!

Cool selective coloring in this! I like how their long strides make it look like they are in a big hurry, walking fast. Glad you got some 1:1 time with your grandbaby! I would imagine it would be hard to take a photo while taking care of a baby!

I like how the shot shows the legs doing their jobs for the task
February 26th, 2011
Ha haaa! Love this shot! I'm sure you'll be doing nappies in one hand and arty photography in the other in no time at all!!

Fantastic shot Peggy....you have such a great eye for these quirky shots! Glad you and Harper had some fun time together! :)

Thank you for taking time to comment, everyone. It's very much appreciated. Give me a little practice time and I'll have baby and camera wrangling figured out. It wasn't that long ago that I was balancing two babies under the age of two...well, maybe it was. :)

@barbsmith
Barb ~ I know you are excited about your visit to CO!! Enjoy every second of your time with those precious grandchildren! Happy birthday wishes to my young 365 friend, James!

I think substitute teaching is going to be the perfect fit for Molly, Harper and Grammy. Molly's first assignment was a 4th grade math class. Such a perfect age...they still love school and their teachers. :)

Hahaha, this made me laugh. :D
