Mt. Mitchell

This was our 'front yard' of the mountain cabin we rented for the long 4th of July weekend...what a view! Mt. Mitchell is the highest peak in the eastern United States at an elevation of 6,684 feet. As soon as I finish unpacking I'm looking forward to catching up with everyone on 365...

What a view, Peggy. You have captured the beauty of of the North Carolina mountains perfectly. Bob and I have spent a lot of time backpacking in NC in years past. Miss that beauty. Hope you had a great trip.
