Starry, Starry Night

The stars were so amazing up in the NC mountains. The brightest spot toward the center of the photo is actually the planet Venus. I had the camera on a tripod with a 30 second exposure setting...now I just need to get a remote shutter release to eliminate some of the blur.
I think I'm all caught up with posts now. :)
gorgeous!!! I have never been able to get a good nighttime star shot like this!

Beautiful! I've tried something like this the other day, but I didn't see so many stars.

Stunning night sky, I suppose there wouldn't be much light pollution up there . We find it's the same in NZ, such starry skies !!

Love the photo. I use my self-timer to avoid shake. works like a charm. The most amazing starry skies I have ever seen were in South and North Dakota where big cities are few and far between. Your sky is beautiful too.
