I was hoping to get some cool photos from the big NC BalloonFest today. But, unfortunately, I couldn't make it...maybe next year. Instead it's just another shot from the 'hood. Hope everyone is having a fabulous weekend! :)
@sarasdadandmom I can't tell you how bummed I am about missing that balloon festival! I've had it on the calendar for months; had both cameras packed and ready to go, batteries charged, lenses cleaned, all set for action. Woke up this morning with a right knee the size of a beer barrel. :( Dang RA ~ this is the first time it's kept me from doing something I really wanted to do. I'm a sulking, not fun to be around individual right now! All those wonderful photo ops missed......arrrgggg!!!
Ah sorry to hear that the @ # $ knee kept you from razzling !!! this is so cool though - love seeing shots from your hood ! we dont have much to do with halloween here , but I'm amused that the shops have pretty much packed away the pumpkins and skeletons and put out the christmas trees !
Well these skeletons don't seem to have knees at all - maybe that's the way to go!! That is such a PAIN (literally). I was going to suggest you talk to @snowy about her new knee but maybe you should wait until she's running around on it first....
I can sympathise with you Peggy these knees can be a pain, I think it will be a long time before I can walk ok never mind about running! hope yours gets better soon. btw I like your pic.
@snowy Thanks, Diana ~ hope you're up and about soon. Did you have a knee replacement? Judith mentioned a "new knee" in her comment. Think that's likely where I'll end up one of these days since for me any hope of getting better pretty much involves simply getting used to it. I suppose I can hope that it doesn't get worse. :) Best wishes for a speedy recovery to you!
@glyn Thanks, Glyn! The stores are starting to roll out the Christmas stuff big time around here. Way too early if you ask me. Guess with the ecomomy being what it is retailers are trying to get a little more play out of the holidays.
@peggysirk Yes I had a complete knee replacement 5 weeks ago. It was only 3 days in hospital, and up on your feet the same day. Having said that it is quite painful especially at night, but its early days .Hope you are able to manage with out surgery.
I always enjoy shots from your hood and your titles are always amusing. That said, I am so sorry to hear about your knee, especially when you were so ready for a big day. Hoping you find some relief very soon. Thanks for your continuing comments and feedback. They are always so appreciated.
