Massive baubles but from the little thumbnail I at first thought they were onions !!! Very pretty Peggy & love the shininess you have captured it really well !
I love how you chose the composition on this. Now, if only Wells Fargo would put this effort into finalizing the closing for my daughter and son-in-law to purchase their first home...they have been dragging their feet for almost TWO MONTHS, it was a short sale. The poor kids have to vacate their apartment...
@lisjam1 Thanks, Lisa ~ we made a good choice when we relocated from Atlanta and decided to give city living a shot. The suburbs were perfect for raising children. But as empty nesters we were ready to downsize and try something different. Come see us sometime!
@judithg I think the building itself lends a bit of pretentiousness to the scene...I think the sculpture alone is somewhat understated elegance. But I won't be surprised if some of the "Occupy CLT" protesters, who continue to have a small holdout of campers in the uptown area, decide to use it as an anti-capitalism backdrop at some point. I did notice that Bank of America greatly scaled back on their Christmas finery this year. :)
@bpaquette I understand that the whole mortgage loan process has become a source of total frustration under the new banking scene...especially with short sale and foreclosure. You'd think the banks would be thrilled to get those properties off their hands and make it an easier process for buyers. But what do I know. Good luck to your daughter and son-in-law with the completion of their first home purchase. I hope they will love their new home once they are finally in!
LOVE this, Peggy! The contrast of the gold sculpture and the silver/gray of the building, the simplicity in the lines of the sculpture against the busyness of the building, the light, the composition. . . . I love it all. Definitely a fav.
