We've been robbed again. Someone stole one of the geranium planters on the side porch. (X marks the spot). There's a trail of broken leaves and blossoms leading toward the street. I must have come home before they could get the second planter. Last year someone stole the Christmas fir trees in planters that I had by the front door. Arrrgg!! I questioned the squirrel, but apparently he didn't see anything...or he'd been intimidated into silence. :)
How sad that someone would steal these. How could someone appreciate flowers and their beauty, when they are stolen. Take one of those dog stakes and screw it into the ground through the pot and then put the dirt on top and flowers in. That will give them a surprise.
@spthorne Thanks, Simon ~ happens here all too often I'm sorry to say. Usually it's for things other than potted plants...think we have a thief with a green thumb. :)
@peggysirk You crack me up and I really think it would work. I could see the thief walking down the street with a potted plant and a red dye all over their face.
A thief with good taste. However I think you need to question the squirrel again. Our squirrels just dug up 50 some tulips that I planted this year while the cats watched from the window. So even with security cats it happens.
