Tom, Peggy, Elizabeth, Jeff, Molly, Chad, Harper and Scrappy. We've all been relatively good this year. Honest. :)
I've often considered getting everyone new Pottery Barn stockings that would look designer perfect. But I just can't bring myself to part with these that have such special meaning. I made Tom's, Elizabeth's and Molly's when the girls were tiny. My grandmother made mine when I was a little girl. Scrappy is the proud owner of the stocking that has belonged to three dogs and a cat that we have loved and lost through the years...I guess there's not a chance of replacing the lineup. :)
I'm posting this early and then braving the grocery store. It can get a little crazy three days before Christmas...
What a cute shot! I love how the stockings are different, and I think handmade stockings are the most special. Love your composition, and how you've included the tree. Merry Christmas to you!
Oooh no don't replace!! Though I'm worried about Tom's - his is smaller than Scrappy's!! And you've got hooks on your fireplace? Looks like you're going to have a fun-filled house-full. And if any more grandchildren arrive you'll need a larger mantelpiece!! Good luck with the shops and happy, happy days ahead!
I’m a very sentimental sort and love the history of your stockings. Do not EVER replace them with designer stockings. They’re picture perfect just as they are.
